Kershaw County, SC – Roy’s Wood Products, a manufacturer of custom cabinet doors, mouldings, and hardwood flooring and lumber, is expanding its Kershaw County operations. The company plans to construct an 80,000 square foot facility along US Highway 601 within The Heritage Pointe Industrial Park. The $2.5 million new capital investment will include new manufacturing, warehouse, showroom, and headquarters space, as well as new production machinery and equipment.
Founded in 1962, the family-owned company has called Kershaw County home since its inception. “Indeed it is a great day in Kershaw County,” stated Kershaw County Chairman Julian Burns. “To watch this company grow from a small operation out of the family’s garage to expanding its headquarters shows that what we are doing to support industry is working.”
Today, Roy’s Wood Products is owned and operated by the third generation of the Brazell family. “Our heart as a company and as a family is Kershaw County,” said Jody Brazell. “This expansion is a win-win for our business and our community.” Russell Brazell states “We are proud to be investing in Kershaw County as we all work to move our local economy forward.”
With more than 50 years in local production, Roy’s Wood Products is a staple within the Kershaw County community. “We are excited to celebrate the ongoing success of Roy’s Wood Products,” stated Kershaw County Economic Development Director Peggy McLean. “Their expansion is proof that good things are happening in Kershaw County.”
